Yes. K&D Pratt has extensive experience supplying and servicing life safety equipment for offshore oil and gas operations in Atlantic Canada, including platforms operated by ExxonMobil, Husky Energy, and Hebron. Our offshore scope includes firefighter PPE, SCBA, fire suppression equipment, marine evacuation systems, immersion suits, and inspection and maintenance services. We work closely with offshore operators and their HSE teams to ensure equipment meets DNV-GL, Transport Canada, and site-specific compliance requirements.

Under Transport Canada regulations, SCBA cylinders used in Canada must undergo hydrostatic testing every 5 years for composite cylinders (the most common type used in modern SCBA). Steel and aluminum cylinders follow a 5-year cycle as well.
Cylinders that fail testing must be taken out of service immediately. K&D Pratt’s Technical Services team provides SCBA cylinder testing and repair — contact us to schedule testing or to assess your department’s cylinder fleet.
